General
First off this site looks great. With a nice orange and grey colour scheme it is easy on the eye and does not clutter your browser window. Your screen is split up so that you get a list of content in the selected category on the left and you have your main navigation bar along the top.
From each of the DVDs you are able to skip to more DVDs from the same studio, more in that genre or more from that specific porn star. There is also a little text string search tool so just in case you are unable to find a DVD with all of the other tools you can have a crack at it this way.
The site is split into three main sections (that are of interest anyway) these are “Upcoming DVDs”, “Favourites & User Settings” and “Support”.
The “Upcoming DVDs” section shows all the DVDs that will be online in the next month or so. Each up and coming DVDs has a date of release and all of the scenes split off into sections with a nice lot of screen shots.
The “Favourites and User Settings” area has some really good little options available, as expected you are able to add your favourite scenes to this section and get to them, but what I did not expect were some of the other great little options available. One of the options means that you are able to make DVD Box mark the scenes that you have already downloaded which worked amazingly well and really impressed me.
The Support available on this site consists of a really in depth FAQ which answers pretty much any question you could have, they also have a trouble ticket system available in case the FAQ’s are no good. That all comes together to give DVD Box a fairly impressive support system, not the best I have seen but it is more than adequate in my eyes.
This site has anything you could wish for in the world of porn and probably a little more that anyone would ever want. There is an amazing amount of content you are able to download 1140 DVDs that's over 1707 hours of viewing, pretty good huh!
Video Section
Each of the DVDs is split into several scenes with each scene having a nice selection of screen shots. You are able to stream the movie, which is not recommended as you are not able to skip through any of the crappy bits. There are 2 download options and these are surprisingly enough Low quality and High quality, the low quality being an acceptable 320 x 236 and the high quality being an impressive 720 x 528. Most of the scenes being around the 20 minute mark and each DVD having around 7 scenes to download you have a nice amount of content on each one. The high and low quality options are both in WMV and this is a little limiting but not a major problem even for Mac users as you can always download WMV viewers for Macs.
The DVD update schedule is damn impressive with 2 full DVDs being added pretty much every day! This is extremely impressive and will mean that the amount of content on offer is going to be just amazing. There is also a countdown tool telling you exactly how long you have to wait for the next DVD to come online. But to be honest if you set your schedule based on this time it may be time to seek some help! The only thing that I can even think of that would be good to add is the option to download the entire DVD if you were so inclined.
Photo Section
As this is primarily a video site the only pictures you get are the screenshots from the movies, which you are able to view as a photo gallery, but there are no fancy options and to be honest they are all fairly low quality anyway as they are screen caps of the DVDs. But we are not here for the pictures and any idiot that signs up to a site called DVD box for the pictures really does need to question their intelligence.
